Taylor Swift Flight Tracking

1. Super Bowl Preview: Chiefs’ Experience or Niners’ Talent?

The Chiefs have become synonymous with the Super Bowl, enjoying their 4th in the last 5 years, winning in the 19-20 and 22-23 seasons. They look to be the first team to repeat since the Patriots did it in 2004. Patrick Mahomes is now the youngest quarterback to start in four Super Bowls.

The Niners historically have enjoyed massive success, but have not won since 1994. The team has been in “win now” mode for the last few years, but their window appears to be closing if they can’t get over the hump this year. The Niners have star power, leading the league with nine players selected for the Pro Bowl and have one of the best offenses in football.

2. Taylor Swift Flight Tracking

With all eyes on Taylor’s potential Super Bowl appearance, fans are tracking all of her flight info, including this flight that was in the air for a total of 13 minutes. The continued attention has led Swift’s legal team to sending a cease and desist letter to a college student for publicly tweeting all of her private jet travel.

The attention is only going to grow in the next week, and regardless of your thoughts, the jokes online are just phenomenal. That said, we at the FastBreakk think Taylor being at the game will be a massive boost for the league and sports in general, and are excited to see what Swifties can do with their first major Super Bowl party planning.

3. Sports Streaming Platform Coming this Fall!

ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery announced plans on Tuesday to launch a sports streaming platform in the fall that will include offerings from at least 15 networks and all four major professional sports leagues. This shakeup has the potential to dramatically change how Americans watch sports.

The new service announced they will have the rights to major linear network channels that show sports, including conference networks, broadcast networks like ABC and Fox, and major sports networks like ESPN — but with the notable absence of NBCUniversal and Paramount content. While details are still being released, we’ll keep you informed on how this bundling will shape the way cord-cutters will be able to get the best service possible for live sports.

4. Alabama Baseball Scandal

To catch you up, former Alabama Baseball Coach Brad Bohannon provided inside information to a gambler leading to his firing from the university. The details are just hilarious, as Bohannon messaged a friend to let him know his star player was injured before telling the public including “lemme know when I can tell LSU… hurry!

So, not only did a DIVISION ONE BASEBALL COACH not realize it is a crime to leak injury stories for gambling reasons, he told a friend to hammer a massive bet on the other team! His friend, Bert Neff, attempted to bet $100,000 on LSU, but was limited by the Casino staff to just $15,000. This irregular betting was flagged, investigated, and tracked back to Bohannon. Now details are coming out, showing the text records and just how blatantly stupid this duo was. Bohannon received a 15 year ban from coaching and a lifetime of embarrassment.

5. Nick Saban Joins College Gameday

The College Football GOAT is set to head to the broadcast booth. Saban, 72, will serve as an analyst on ESPN’s College Gameday, and will work across a variety of ESPN programs including the NFL draft broadcast and other football related discussion shows. Saban’s 28 year coaching career is filled with trophies, including 7 national titles, 12 conference championships, and 19 bowl wins. Now he will share his secret sauce with the sports world every Saturday morning in the football season.
